    Im Kalender steht 13.03. Nächste Woche fällt die Entscheidung fallen, ob es ohne Zuschauer durchgezogen wird.

    Leider können Stefan und Niclas nicht teilnehmen, da sie aufgrund der aktuellen Bestimmungen des Außenministeriums von Schweden keine Möglichkeit hatten eine gültige Versicherungspolice abzuschließen für die Auslandsreise. Daher war es unmöglich das Visum für Russland zu erhalten. Somit wurden die beiden schwedischen Startplätze an die FIM zurückgegeben von der SVEMO.

    Wie kommt Shishrgov zu dem russischen Startplatz?

    Dass Dinar Valeev mit dabei ist, finde ich gut. Der wird um den Titel mitfahren.

    Die beiden Kasachen sind auch nicht schlecht, aber für eine Medaille wird es vermutlich nicht reichen. Das werden de Russen unter sich ausmachen.


    Die West-Europäer sind dieses Jahr vollkommen chancenlos, praktische ohne Vorbereitungstraining und ohne Rennpraxis zur WM.

    “The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) considered that in the circumstances, maintaining the FIM World Championship in Togliatti (Russia) was not in contradiction with the CAS decision mainly based on the extreme circumstances of the case, in particular considering that the FIM Ice Speedway World Championship is due to start in less than two weeks and only a few weeks passed since the issuance of the CAS decision in the Arbitration WADA v. RUSADA. WADA’s position expressed therein is without prejudice to WADA’s position in respect to other FIM events scheduled to be held during the Two Years Period (i.e. 2021 and 2022) in Russia.

    Among the measures taken by the FIM are, the removal of the Russian national flag from the visual elements (backdrops, race jackets, TV graphics). The Russian nationality of the riders will not be mentioned. The Russian national anthem shall not be played during these events."

    Eine etwas schwammige Rechtfertigung, warum das Event nun doch stattfinden kann. Nur weil der Termin so kurz nach nach Verkündigung der WADA Sperre für 2021 und 2022 ist. Nächstes Jahr wär das dann jedenfalls nicht mehr so, also wird es 2022 keine Eisspeedway WM Rennen in Russland geben.

    Gleiches wird dann ja auch für den geplanten Speedway Grand Prix in Togliatti gelten. Frühester möglicher Termin dann erst 2023.
